TRAVEL CANDY landed the five-furlong Nursery at Catterick on Wednesday (July 12th) under a good ride by Ben (Robinson).

The two-year-old daughter of Dandy Man was picked up for Β£6,500 after winning a claiming race at Beverley in May and finished third in a six-furlong seller at York on her first outing for us last month. Back down to the minimum trip here, she was smartly away and always handy before taking the lead over a furlong out. She stayed on well, despite drifting left, to score by half a length.

In an interview for racingpost.com Brian said: β€œβ€œThe six got her beat at York. She’s tough and a good claim for the owner. She’s the most laid-back horse I’ve trained.”

β€œKeith buys cheap horses but puts a lot into it and it’s nice to have a winner for him.”

Congratulations to Keith and Joan Brown and well-done team!
