RAMIRO ran on strongly inside the final furlong of the six-furlong, Ayr Gold Cup Trial Handicap at Ayr on Monday (July 17th), going on to score by half a length.
Partnered by Ben (Robinson) the seven-year-old travelled towards the rear of the field before making progress inside the final two furlongs. As soon as a gap appeared he powered through horses to take the lead half a furlong from home.
The Born To Sea gelding has been running well all year and was following up a good second at Chester just three days earlier.
