Our first double in a while thanks to OSCAR DOODLE winning nicely on the flat at Chelmsford before DREAM JET followed up five minutes later over hurdles at Stratford.
It was a cosy win for OSCAR DOODLE in the 1m2f Classified Stakes at Chelmsford under a good ride by Ben (Robinson).
Pushed along early doors to get a good position, he tracked the leaders before taking closer order two out. Taking the lead over a furlong from home, he stayed on nicely to score by two-and-a-quarter lengths.
The four-year-old has been running well of late and was notching up his third success of the year. Congratulations to owner Miss Victoria Watt.
DREAM JET (pic at home with Andy) followed up five minutes later with a gutsy performance in the 2m2Β½f Maiden Hurdle at Stratford. Harry Cobden gave the five-year-old a good ride to get up and win by a length.
Quite keen early on, Dream Jet disputed the lead with the eventual second, The Geordie Ginge, and the pair were still upsides as they raced towards the final flight. Having travelled well throughout, Dream Jet pinged the last and battled gamely to the line.
A five-year-old son of Jet Away, he was well beaten on his debut for us but was down in trip here and appreciated the better ground. Delighted to get his first win over hurdles.
