It was great to have a winner over the festive period with LANGTON WOLD taking the 2m1f Maiden Hurdle at Sedgefield (26 December 2023) quite nicely under Sam Coltherd.
Jumping off towards the rear and taking a nice hold, there was drama at the first hurdle with three of the eight runners exiting the race, leaving Langton Wold to jump the second flight in front. He was never headed thereafter, travelling and jumping well, going on to score comfortably by a length.
This was his third outing over hurdles, with the four-year-old son of Cotai Glory following up two decent seconds. Sure to be more to come.
