Tolstoy won his third consecutive race at the Knavesmire on Friday when winning the ‘William Hill Extra Place Races Daily Handicap.’

Always in touch with the leaders, he made steady headway from 2 furlongs out, pushed along and pressed leaders over 1 f out, led and ran on well inside the final furlong to win by 1 1/4 lengths.

He was partnered by our stable apprentice, Shay Farmer, who claimed the valuable 7 lb. This was only Shay’s second winner, the previous also being Tolstoy at the same track last month.
