Three horses got their names on the winners board, when winning for the first time yesterday.
On the opening day of the Newcastle Plate Festival, it was a lovely 25/1 win for Almutraf, who was making his first appearance for the team, having joined us earlier in the year with no previous form. He was gelded on arrival, and whilst he hasn’t sparkled on the gallops, he did enough on the track. It was a great ride by Ben Robinson, who took his time and came late to win by a neck.
Kanishka got his first win at the 5th time of asking, when doing the job under Tom Marquand later on the card, for his owners, Β C Booth, P Boyle, S Coleby & S Smith. Having been in touch with the leaders, he made headway to lead over 1f out, pushed out inside the final furlong and won by 1 1/2 lengths.
Wor Faith, was the last leg of our treble, when she was an impressive, 3 lengths winner, of the ‘Hampton By Hilton Hamilton Park Hotel EBF Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes’ having made all, under Callum Rodriguez.
