It was a mixed 'Plate meeting' at Newcastle last week but we still came away with a winner on the Friday and a good 4th in the big race on Saturday.

The win came in the 'JenningsBet In Shiremoor Novices Stakes' over the 7f trip, and it was Viper under Ben Robinson who obliged.  This was only his fourth start and was impressive in the way he won, making all and winning comfortably by 2 1/4 lengths.

Saint Etienne ran a great race to finish 4th in the Nortumberland Plate. He sat midfield and made headway from over 2f out and kept on well inside the final furlong, clearing any doubts that he would stay the 2 mile trip.

At Cartmel yesterday,  Letmeseethecolts finished 2nd on her hurdling debut but our other three runners were withdrawn as the ground wasn't suitable.

We have a very quiet week, with no entries now until the weekend.
