The 2025 Flat Season gets underway today at Doncaster, and the team will be  well represented, with eight runners on the card.

Two year old, Kanishka, will line up in the Brocklesby at 1.15pm and will be ridden by Ben Robinson for owners C Booth, P Boyle, S Coleby & S Smith.

Tolstoy (pictured right) will also be partnered by Ben in the Spring Mile at 1.50pm, whilst last year's Hillary Needler winner, Perfect Part will be ridden by Harry Davies in a Listed race at 2.25pm.

We then move on to the Grand National Apprentice Handicaps. In Divison 1, at 4.45pm, last week's winner, Bulldog Spirit, will have to overcome what is potenially a 'bad draw' of 19 to be competitive under Ethan Jones, and Shay Farmer will ride Freddy Robinson for members Brian Ellison Racing Club.

Shay will also ride Miners Gamble in the second division at 5.20 pm, where the team have 3 of the 18 runner field.  Chillhi, who will be ridden by Mikkel Mortensen,  and Letmeseethecolts for Archie Young, are our other two representitives.

Action then continues at Newcastle with Harry Russell on The Dancing Poet for Spring Cottage Syndicate at 5.30 pm and Callianassa for Paul Mulrennan and Mr P Boyle, rounding off our day at 7.00pm.

Tomorrow, we are back to Doncaster, with Addosh making her debut for the team under Mr Matt Brown at 1.55pm and Cormier, the last of our weekend runners at 4.15pm under Cam Hardie.
