Mademoiselle Belle made Valentine’s Day special for her owners, Joseph Bell & Partner, when she managed to get a win on the Newcastle’s evening card. Ridden by Ben Robinson, she wasn’t the quickest away from the stalls, he switched her right and made headway from 2f out, they led at the furlong mark, and ran on to win by 1 1/2 lengths.
