It was a cracking day for our club members on Thursday with two winners, one on the all-weather and one over obstacles, following on from Baron de Midleton’s success two days earlier, taking the total number of Brian Ellison Racing Club Winners to 56!
KING VIKTOR (pictured at our club open day last year) was the first to stick his neck in front, quite literally, getting up close home to take the first division of the 1m6fΒ Handicap at Southwell. Ben (Robinson) partnered the six-year-old son of cityscape who was following up a decent reappearance in November having been off the track for 551 days.
25 minutes later FREDDY ROBINSON kept on well to take the 1m7Β½fΒ Handicap Hurdle at Catterick under promising conditional William Maggs. Fit from two runs on the all-weather, Freddy, now five, was notching up his second win over hurdles.
Β Well done team and congratulations to all involved. A great start to 2024.
