ANGLERS CRAG made his debut for us a winning one when taking the 3m2f Handicap Chase at Carlisle on Sunday (17 December 2023). However, there was a lengthy stewards’ inquiry before we could breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate!
Traveling nicely on the inner in mid division in the hands of Henry Brooke, he jumped well throughout. Moving up into second two from home, he fought gamely in a ding-dong battle with the eventual second Track And Trace to score by a short head.
Owned and bred by Derrick Mossop, Anglers Crag, an eight-year-old son of Multiplex, came to us in September and was having his first outing for us.
Great to get be back in the winner’s enclosure following a somewhat quiet time of late and congratulations to all involved.
