It was another winner on the board for the team yesterday, with Blackwater Lilly, (pictured) breaking her maiden in the ‘Horse PWR ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle’ at Bangor-on-Dee, under Craig Nichol, for owners Richard and Katherine Gilbert. She was fitted with cheek pieces for the first time, and started the race as 4/5 favourite. Despite taking a keen hold, and being hampered at the 3rd, they took the lead before 3 out, joined 2 out, but led clearly going into the last, at which she wasn’t too fluent. She was ridden out and kept on well to win by 3/4 length.
