NORTHERN SPIRIT powered home strongly inside the final furlong to get up by a neck in the three-year-old, six-furlong Handicap at Newcastle on Friday evening.
It was a good ride by Ben (Robinson) who had to wait patiently for a gap to appear, having travelled keenly in mid-division. However, once daylight appeared inside the final furlong, Northern Spirit powered home strongly to get up by a neck.
Owned and bred by Northern Water Services and Brian, the son of Adday, out of Amelia Grace, was notching up his second success of the year.
