It was great to see TUPELO MISSISSIPPI back in the winner’s enclosure yesterday following success in the 2m5½f Handicap Chase at Kelso.
Partnered by Stephen Mulqueen, Tupelo, now nine, kept on well to score by a neck from Deep Charm, notching up his first victory over fences. It had been a while since Tupelo last won – December 2020 – and we were absolutely thrilled to see him bounce back for owners Phil and Julie Martin and Graeme Preston.
It’s been a cracking start to January; let’s hope we can keep it up!
