Members of Brian Ellison Racing Club, who celebrated after their success with Hardy Bloke at Southwell on Thursday, were very close to another winner last night, but had to settle for second place, when Captain Potter was beaten on the nod. Today at Hexham, the members will be shouting home Baron de Midleton, who runs in the selling hurdle at 16.28.

Saxon Star is having her second start over hurdles, and is hoping to get off the mark in the maiden hurdle at 17.00.

At Thirsk (13.35), we are hoping that now she has racecourse expierence, ImSo Friendly will show more than she did on her racecourse debut at Beverley.

Also on the Thirsk card is Letmeseethecolts at 15.50. She is stepping up to 1m 6f for the first time, and aiming for her 3rd win of the year.
