Thursday 29th May

Our national hunt horses remain in good form and yesterday at Cartmel, Terrorise added to the list of winners, when winning his first hurdle race, under a great ride by Craig Nichol, who nabbed the win, on the nod, at the line.  The photo (right) is of Brian with winning owner, Mr Andrew Barnes and his family, with Terrorise and groom Aiden, in the winners enclosure after.

The weights have been released for the 2025 'Jenningsbet Northumberland Plate Handicap' at Newcastle on 28th June, and Onesmoothoperator has been given 9st 7lb, which is a 12lb increase on what he carried when winning the   race last year. 9 year old Laafy, who had to miss the race last year due to injury, is also targetting the race, but at this stage, he is down the list with a weight allocation of 8st 5lb. Bulldog Spirit & Hardy Bloke have also been entered, with a view to run in the consolation race, the 'Northumberland Vase', but will need plenty to drop out above them in order to get a run.
